The Early Word: Enjoy a Twilight Tour of Prospect Park

What you need to know, pre-coffee.

1. Another great event is coming to Greenwood Playground. On July 17, head on over to "Stories and Squirts," a creative writing workshop for kids 8 and up with author Jen Nails. Meet at the chess tables at 10 a.m.

2. Yoga studios across Brooklyn are teaming up with Lululemon to bring yogis old and . These open-level classes are every Thursday night (including today). Begins at 7 p.m. Enter the park at Grand Army Plaza and walk onto the Long Meadow.

3. Bring your compostable material to today between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., and watch old food scraps transform into nutrients for plants! CFB is located on East 8th Street and Newkirk Avenue.

4. Enjoy ! Start the evening with wine and cheese on the Boathouse balcony, then tour the Park’s majestic Lullwater on an electric boat. After the ride, an Audubon naturalist will lead an evening Bat Walk. Cost is $30 per person. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. and concludes at 8:45 p.m.
