The Early Word: Is Your Kid a Blooming Naturalist?

The next 72nd Precinct community council meeting, a reminder to check out our Week in Review and other tidbits you might find useful.

1. The 72nd Precinct will hold its monthly community council meeting Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Mariem Heim Center, located at 4520 4th Avenue. Come if you're concerned about a crime-related issue in your neighborhood, or just want to hear the latest updates straight from the officers patrolling your streets.

2. Has your little one taken a preternatural shine to the great outdoors? Consider bringing him or her to "" at Prospect Park's Audubon Center. Designed to foster a nascent appreciation for the wilderness AND give the young sprouts the skills necessary to make their own nature journal, it may be the best possible use of a spring afternoon. Runs from today until April 13th, from 1-3 p.m. Free!
