The Early Word: New Lane Markings in Prospect Park
Toddler art classes, the 72nd Precinct community council meeting and more.
1. Parents of talented neighborhood toddlers should consider signing the tykes up for classes with local artist Kristin Scarola, who is not only a resident of the area, but the Family Programs Coordinator at the Brooklyn Museum. Classes will be held at Namaste Yoga on Coney Island Avenue, and begin on April 20. Click here for more information.
2. Following the milling and paving that took place over the past few weeks, Park Drive in Prospect Park now has new lane markings and symbols between the Park Circle and Parkside/Ocean Avenue entrances. The total restriping process will be finished by the end of May.

4. The 72nd Precinct will hold its monthly community council meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the Mariem Heim Center, located at 4520 4th Avenue.
5. Alternate side parking is in effect today, but will be suspended Thursday through Saturday in observance of Orthodox Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Passover.
