Yes, it's summer, but this being New York, there's no telling what the wily weather will do over the weekend.
Poor weather is nearly guaranteed in the winter months, but we'd hate for you to make extensive beach plans, only to see them canceled by an unexpected thunderstorm.
So each week this summer, Patch will keep you abreast of the weather with information from the National Weather Service.

Friday: Expect showers and thunderstorms to hit the area around 3 p.m. Despite the possibility of accompanying wind and rain, the high will be around 91 degrees. Southwest wind is expected to be around 9 miles per hour. Mercifully, the temperature is expected to drop to around 70 degrees this evening.
Saturday: There's a 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms on Satuday, mostly before 9 a.m. Clouds will give way to sun, with a high near 89 degrees. Northwest winds will be around 10 miles per hour. Saturday night will be mostly clear, with a low of 66 degrees.
Sunday: Sunday is expected to be sunny with a high of 81 degres and north wind around 7 miles per hour. There's a 40 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms Sunday night, with the low around 66 degrees.
