7 Big Winners In The Hudson Valley In A 'Historic' New York Lottery Game

The Million Dollar Raffle brought good fortune to winners in Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, and Ulster counties.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A bicentennial raffle created a brand new class of millionaires, and the Hudson Valley shared in the luck.

The New York Lottery announced that its canal-themed Million Dollar Raffle drawing, which took place Saturday, resulted in 5,505 winning tickets sold across the state, including seven top tier winners in the Hudson Valley.

Check your tickets, because you might be one of the lucky winners of the commemorative Erie Canal bicentennial raffle.

Two $1 million top prize tickets were sold at the following Hudson Valley retail locations, each of which will receive $5,000 for selling the top prize tickets:

  • Lincoln Dale Wine and Liquor, 155 Route 202, Somers
  • Stewart's Shops, 1200 Dutchess Turnpike, Poughkeepsie

Two $100,000 prize tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • Tops Markets, 6734 Route 9, Rhinebeck
  • Quick Chek, 3048 Route 9W South, Saugerties

Three $25,000 prize tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • Pemai Jinchar Inc, 2975 Route 6, Slate Hill
  • Palisades Pkwy Service Inc, 100 Palisades Interstate Pkwy, Tappan
  • 7-Eleven #26784E, 1949 Commerce Street, Yorktown Heights

In addition, 5,460 $200 winning tickets were sold at retailers across New York State.

The New York Lottery said that tickets were sold counting down from 2,000,000, with ticket number 2,000,000 being the first ticket sold and 1,208,648 as the last ticket sold. The winning tickets were drawn from the range of 1,208,648 through 2,000,000, while overseen by an auditor from KPMG as well as the Lottery Integrity unit.
