Alexis Cole Sings at The Winery at St. George Wednesday

Velvet-voiced jazz vocalist Alexis Cole will perform at the on Wednesday, Oct. 19 from 9 to 11 p.m. 

She breathes her life of adventure into each songs’ delivery. In addition to her extensive travels, including studying voice in India, teaching music in Ecuador, and long stints in Japan, Cole recently completed Army basic training to become the lead vocalist with West Point’s acclaimed big band, The Jazz Knights.

She has recorded with many jazz greats including pianists Fred Hersch & Harry Pickens, and the band One for All.

Seriously Standards Quartet kicks it Old School! Alexis Cole will sing with bassist Jerry Bruno, guitarist Steve LaMattina, and drummer Bobby Shankin. They'll play old standards like Sweet Lorraine and Stompin at the Savoy, in a (relatively) classic way.

The venue is located in an old stone church, with a great stage and lighting. The Winery at St. George is located at 1715 E. Main St. in Mohegan Lake. There is a $10 cover.
