Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson) will hold his campaign kickoff on March 10 in Yorktown Heights at . The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

"We must remain focused and continue to get New York State back on track! This Senate seat literally decided the balance of power in the previous election, it will certainly remain a critical seat and it’s absolutely vital that we work together to keep the balance of power out of the hands of New York City’s ‘Tax and Spend’ crowd,” Senator Ball said.
“Moving forward I will use my voice to continue to fight for real tax relief, a statewide spending cap, a freeze of school taxes for seniors, a balanced budget that smartly cuts government spending and roots out waste and expand upon my important work as Chair of the Senate’s Veterans Affairs and Homeland Security Committee.”

Senator Ball said his grassroots campaign is surging with hundreds of donations totaling nearly $200,000 in the last campaign filing cycle alone, and a current campaign war-chest hovering at $400,000 cash on hand.
Senator Ball also recently unveiled his new website, which is fully integrated with his social media sites to offer constituents around-the-clock updates. The homepage has several live feeds that display the latest news, photo galleries, events and what is happening on Senator Ball’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages. A full text search engine will allow visitors to search keywords across the site including issues, legislation, and news release content.
“This new website will be our virtual campaign headquarters and I welcome everyone in the community to take a look and join the conversation!” Senator Ball said. “I look forward to the upcoming campaign and view it as a huge opportunity to showcase a long list of positive results. This campaign is going to be a positive, grassroots campaign focused completely and simply on ‘Gettin’ It Done!’”
During his first session in the Senate, Senator Ball said the following milestones were accomplished:
- After his long fight, Greg repealed the MTA Payroll tax for 80% of payees!
- Greg helped to deliver $250 Million in savings for more than 290,000 local businesses!
- Cut taxes for 4.4 million hardworking taxpayers.
- Passed the lowest middle class tax rate in 58 years!
- Delivered $67 million for local projects, creating jobs through major construction projects!
- Closed a $10 billion budget gap without raising taxes or back door borrowing!
- Capped property taxes at 2% to help working families and seniors hold on to their homes and;
- Secured over $10 million dollars in economic development grants for the Hudson Valley region to finance major job creation projects!
In 2010, without a party endorsement, Senator Ball announced his candidacy for State Senate. As he had done twice in the past, Senator Ball easily defeated his opponent in a Republican Primary. Additionally, Senator Ball ran an Opportunity To Ballot campaign that won the Conservative nomination as a write-in candidate with 66% of the vote, which has been said to be the greatest write-in victory ever in New York State history.
In the 2010 General Election, Senator Ball used the 8,388 votes he received on the Conservative line to defeat Michael Kaplowitz and become the State Senator representing the 40th District.
