Erica Wenzel Named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for Excellence

Yorktown High School graduate Erica Wenzel of the Muhlenberg College Volleyball team was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll for excellence in the classroom and on the court.

To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student must be a sophomore or higher in class standing; a starter or key reserve on her team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.

A mathematics major, Wenzel played mostly on defense and finished with 141 digs, good for third on the team, to go along with 7 assists and 7 aces to help the Mules win four of their final five matches. During her time at Muhlenberg, Wenzel has amassed 25 aces, 14 assists, and 349 digs in 48 career matches.

A young Muhlenberg team finished the 2011 season with a 10-18 record, a four-win improvement from 2010. The Mules were 5-5 in the Centennial Conference, one spot away from earning a playoff berth.
