WOOFSTOCK Comes to Sycamore Park (Mahopac) August 8th

Friends of Sycamore Dog Park want to announce a park-wide event:

Mahopac, New York....Yelp! Mahopac is going to the dogs - again! Forty-one years after Woodstock, the mutts are taking over Sycamore Park at WOOFSTOCK, on Sunday, August 8, 2010, rain or shine from 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

This family and best friend event is being hosted by the Friends of Sycamore Dog Park, Inc, a "pack" of individuals who love their dogs and their community.

The park-wide event includes a Grateful Dog Walk, demonstrations by Disc and Fly Ball Dogs, Pet Psychics, local vendors, a puppy bowl, animal rescue groups, on-site micro- chipping and fingerprinting, doggie chill zone, bake sale, raffles,contests, tie dyeing, entertainment, photo booths, food and more.

But don't go around with your tail between your legs if you are dogless. WOOFSTOCK is about our four-footed furry friends and families of all sorts coming together in peace, harmony and doggy love.

In a cooperative collaboration with the Carmel Parks and Recreation Department since the Bark Park opened in April 2009, the Friends of the Bark Park help to manage the dog park by addressing problems, and seeking to educate the members and the community about appropriate canine behavior, responsible dog ownership and proper dog park etiquette.

Due to the popularity of the dog park, funds are being raised to make park improvements. Admission is $1 per person.

Get out those bell-bottoms, tie-dye shirts and love beads, put a flower in your hair and join us.
