Flash Flood Warning Sunday AM For Northern Westchester, Eastern Putnam
It's in effect until 11 a.m.

YORKTOWN, NY — A flood warning was issued at 7:48 a.m. for northern Westchester and eastern Putnam counties.
The National Weather Service said flash flooding was ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is 1.5 to 2 inches in 1 hour.

Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen across portions of the area already. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include ... Mahopac, Mount Kisco, Lake Carmel, Bridgeport, Stamford, Waterbury, Danbury, Milford, Shelton, Naugatuck, Southbury, New Canaan, Wolcott, Sherman, Brewster, Newtown, Fairfield, Stratford, Trumbull and Cheshire.

In Friday's excessive rainfall, Mahopac received 3.29 inches; Shrub Oak, where the park was under water due to flooding July 9, received 1.45 inches.
