Friends of the John C. Hart Memorial Library Will Hold Its Big Annual Book Sale This Weekend

SHRUB OAK, NY — The local literary event of the season is almost upon us, and membership has its perks.

The Friends of the John C. Hart Memorial Library announced they will be holding their annual book sale this weekend, from Friday through Monday.

"We deeply appreciate your continued support. Our ongoing mission as 'Friends of the library' is to help sponsor the library's programming and services for all ages," Audrey Sherman, president of the Friends, said. "This would not be possible each year without your patronage and the many Friends’ volunteers that help with this mission throughout the year."

While Friday is the "pre-sale" day for members only, non-members can sign up that day and receive a coupon for two free books. Saturday will include a bake sale. On all four days of the sale, patrons will be able to purchase raffle tickets for an iPad basket, as well as a 50-50 raffle.

The Annual Book Sale's hours are:
Sept. 26: 4 p.m.-8 p.m. (members only)
Sept. 27: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (with bake sale)
Sept. 28: noon-4 p.m.
Sept. 29: 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

The John C. Hart Memorial Library is located at 1130 E. Main Street, in Shrub Oak.
