New York's annual burn ban is in effect through May 14.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The Hudson Valley could see gusting winds Tuesday afternoon that could produce a risk of wildfires.

The National Weather Service issued special weather statements for Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster and Westchester counties for Tuesday.

The weather service said winds from the northwest gusting to 25 to 30 mph Tuesday afternoon will combine with relative humidity falling below 30 percent to produce an elevated risk of fire spread throughout the day.
