Illegal Drugs Found After Traffic Stop: PD
Police said one of the drugs the woman was accused of having was cocaine.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Mohegan Lake woman was accused of having illegal drugs after being stopped for a traffic infraction.
The Yorktown Police Department said Amanda R. Colello, 25, of Mohegan Lake, was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, as well as three traffic infractions.
Police said, around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, an officer was on patrol when he said he saw a car that had no front license plate that was traveling east on Crompond Road.

After being stopped, a K9 officer was deployed and found Colello had cocaine and amphetamine and dextroamphetamine pills.
She also had failed to change her address on her license and registration, police said.

Colello was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
She was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court after which she was released on her own recognizance and was issued tickets for the traffic infractions.
Colello is scheduled to appear Tuesday in the Yorktown Justice Court.
