Katonah Teens Arrested for Forged License, Open Containers of Alcohol in Yorktown

The following information was provided by the Yorktown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two 18-year-old Katonah teens are due in court next month to answer charges that they were allegedly in possession of open containers of alcoholic beverages and forged drivers licenses,  said.

Police officer Ryan Noone was on patrol on Aug. 13 at about 10:12 p.m. when he observed a suspicious occupied vehicle in the parking lot of the Yorktown Colonial Diner on Downing Drive. The vehicle's driver and passenger were allegedly found to be in possession of open containers of alcoholic beverages and forged drivers licenses, police said.

The two teens, whose names police did not release due to their eligibility for youthful offender status, were charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, a misdemeanor and open container of an alcoholic beverage, a Yorktown town code violation.
