Lasdon Park Train Show Returns To The Pop-Up Station For 2024

SOMERS, NY — The model train show and fundraiser that is a local tradition, is also becoming a regional attraction — and, yes, Santa will be there!

The Holidays on the Hill Annual Train Show returns to Lasdon Park, Arboretum and Veterans Memorial in Somers for the holiday season.

Organizers said it will feature more trains, more exhibits and more holiday fun, with Santa himself on hand for the festivities.

The train show will be open from Saturday, Nov. 30 through January 5.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said Lasdon Park and Arboretum is even more beautiful during the holiday season.

"Lasdon’s enchanting holiday exhibits, festive lights and beautifully decorated gardens make it magical at this merry time of year," he said. "Its grounds natural beauty blends seamlessly with the holiday cheer to create memorable and heartwarming experiences."

Santa will hear children’s holiday wishes at select times in his cottage on Conservatory Plaza before Christmas.

The Conservatory will be transformed into a winter wonderland featuring whimsical holiday exhibits that lead to the Conservatory. Once inside, visitors will be surrounded by trains chugging along 12 multi-level tracks that run over bridges, through tunnels, under waterfalls and past quaint holiday scenes. Guests can enjoy four Twilight Trains nights when the trains will be glowing with radiant lights.

The show’s colorful characters and enchanting scenes will include all of Santa’s reindeer, playful snowmen who wave and tip their hats to passersby, colorful flowers, beautiful botanical displays and twinkling lights.

Tickets — $10 for ages 2 through 12, $15 for seniors 62 and older and $20 for adults, are available through Jan. 5.
