Latest List Of Hudson Valley Schools With Early Dismissals Due To Extreme Heat

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — As forecasts are calling for excessive heat over the next few days, some schools are announcing early dismissals this week due to the the weather .

As of 7 a.m. on Monday morning, here are the schools so far that will be dismissing early due to the heat. This list will be updated throughout the morning, as needed.

• Ardsley School District: early dismissal Monday through Friday; Thursday & Friday were already previously scheduled early dismissal days
• Arlington CSD: Monday is a half-day ES & MS; Tuesday is a half-day for ES & MS; Wednesday is a half-day for MS. See here for details.
• Bedford CSD: modified half-days Monday & Tuesday; Fox Lane MS, HS dismissal at 11:15 a.m.; elementary schools dismissal 12:30 p.m.
• Briarcliff Manor UFSD: Todd ES early dismissal on Monday & Tuesday
• Carmel CSD: Monday, ES dismissal at 12:15 p.m., MS dismissal at 11:30 a.m.

• Edgemont UFSD: Monday & Tuesday, Greenville ES & Seely Place ES early dismissal
• Elmsford UFSD: Monday through Friday; Grady ES early dismissal at 11:15 a.m., Dixson early dismissal at 11:35 a.m.
• Florida UFSD: Monday through Thursday, Pre-K through Grade 6 will have half-days.
• Garrison UFSD: early dismissal at 12:30 p.m. on Monday

• Rye Neck UFSD: Half-days Monday through Thursday; Rye Neck MS dismissal at 11 a.m., Daniel Warren ES dismissal at 11:15 a.m., F.E. Bellows ES dismissal at 11:30 a.m. (Tuesday dismissal at noon after field trip to movie theater), Rye Neck HS Regents/finals will proceed as scheduled
