Man Arrested for Slashing Vehicle's Tire in Yorktown

A 47-year-old Hastings-on-Hudson man faces a criminal charge for allegedly slashing a vehicle's tire, said.

Police began the investigation when a patron reported to police on July 26 that a tire on his vehicle had been slashed. David Votta was identified as the defendant, police said. After police efforts to locate Votta were unsuccessful, an arrest warrant was issued. 

The defendant was located in Tarrytown on Aug. 17. He was then arrested and transported to Yorktown police headquarters.

Votta was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony. 

He was released after posting $500 cash bail and was to appear in Yorktown Town Court on Aug. 30.
