Muscoot Farm To Hold Pumpkin Picking Fundraiser

Organizers said the event is free, and the pumpkins vary in price based on size.

SOMERS, NY — What better way to spend an autumn weekend than pumpkin picking and hay rides at Muscoot Farm.

The Westchester County park is having a Pumpkin Picking Fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 through Monday, Oct. 10.

Organizers said the event is free, and the pumpkins vary in price based on size.

Hayrides are $5 per person, cash only, with kids age 3 and under free.

"There's so much to do in Westchester County this autumn," said County Executive George Latimer, "and pumpkin picking at Muscoot Farm is one of the best fall traditions in the county."

While the trails will be closed all weekend, visitors will still be able to see the animals.

The Farmers Market will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9.

Events benefit the Friends of Muscoot Farm, which preserves and interprets, for the public benefit, the agricultural, cultural and natural heritage of a Westchester County farm, circa 1880-1930.

Muscoot Farm is located at 51 Route 100 in Somers.
