Obituary: Anna Biondi, 99, Of Somers

SOMERS, NY — Anna Biondi of Somers, NY, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023, at the age of 99. Anna was born April 8, 1924, in New York, NY, daughter of the late Antonino and Anna (Nettuno) Palomba. Anna graduated from high school New York, New York.

On October 6, 1946, she married the love of her life, Ferdinand (Fred) Biondi, Our Saviour Church in Bronx, N.Y.

Anna devoted her life to her family and home.

Anna is survived by her two children, Fred (Karen) Biondi of Yonkers, NY and Linda (Fred) Marano of Somers, NY; her sister Olga Vaccarello of NJ; her grandchildren: Michael (Josephine), Donna (Nick) and Joseph as well as her great-grandchildren, Anthony, John, Joseph and Mia Jo.

She was predeceased by her husband, Fred, in 2015 and her daughter, Joanne Biondi in 2010.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY at 10 a.m. followed by interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. The family was assisted with arrangements by Beecher Funeral Home, Brewster, NY.
