Police: Mohegan Lake Man Throws Rock at Home, Violates Order of Protection

The following information was provided by the Yorktown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 40-year-old Mohegan Lake man faces a felony charge after he allegedly threw a rock at a residence in violation of an order of protection on Ellis Street, said. 

Robert M. Macdonald was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, a felony. 

Police began an investigation about a violation of an order of proteciton on Aug. 19. It was determined the defendant allegedly violated a duly served criminal court order of protection, which prohibits the defendant from committing any criminal offenses against the protected party. The man allegedly threw a rock at a residence in close proximity to the protected party, police said.

The following day, Macdonald was located on Lexington Avenue and placed under arrest at approximately 8:36 p.m.

Macdonald was remanded to the Westchester County Department of Corrections in lieu of $2,500 cash bail. He was scheduled to appear in on Aug. 21.
