PSC To Hold Virtual Comment Sessions On NYSEG Proposed Rate Changes

There will be two sessions on two different days.

SOMERS, NY — The public will have two more opportunities to weigh in on proposed changes in the electric and gas delivery rates and practices of NYSEG.

The state Public Service Commission will hold virtual public statement hearings Wednesday, Sept. 28 and Tuesday, Oct. 18.

NYSEG proposes to increase its electric delivery revenues by approximately $274 million (a 31 percent percent increase in base delivery revenues or a 16.8 percent increase in total revenues), and its natural gas delivery revenues by approximately $43.4 million (a 19 percent increase in base delivery revenues or a 9.8 percent increase in total revenues).

The actual bill impacts of these proposed changes on each customer class will vary based upon revenue allocation and rate design.
