Search Warrant Yields Illegal Drugs, Drug Paraphernalia: PD

Police said they found cocaine and multiple schedule II controlled substances during the search.

YORKTOWN, NY — A woman from Mohegan Lake was accused of having illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The Yorktown Police Department said Amanda Colello, 25, of Mohegan Lake, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and one count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanors.

Police said, around 9 p.m. Saturday, officers executed a search warrant at a Mohegan Lake residence.

During the search, officers said they found more than 4 ounces of cocaine, scales, packaging material and multiple schedule II controlled substances inside the home.

Shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday, Colello voluntarily responded to the Yorktown Police Department headquarters where she was arrested and charged.

She was arraigned in the Yorktown Justice Court and released on her own recognizance.

Colello is scheduled to appear in court May 17.
