Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect In Parts Of Hudson Valley

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The Hudson Valley could see more severe weather Tuesday.

The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

The watch is in effect until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Meteorologists said there is a chance of thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening, mainly for southern parts of the area.

There is a marginal risk for both severe thunderstorms and excessive rainfall Tuesday and a few storms may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts or flooding of urban or poor drainage areas.
