The voters decided on the $113,477,113 Somers Central School District budget and which candidates will serve on the board of education.

SOMERS, NY — The ballots are in and voters have decided on the 2025 budget and school board.
Here are the unofficial results.
The proposed Somers schools spending plan of $113,477,113 passed, with 1,997 voting yes and 1,030 voting no.

The new budget is 2.41 percent higher than the current budget.
The tax levy is expected to be increased by 2.63 percent.

"Thank you to everyone who came out to cast votes today," said Interim Superintendent Harry LeFevre. "The 2025-2026 budget reflects a commitment to preparing students for success as individuals and global citizens in the 21st century and we are grateful for the community's support. We also appreciate the support for the capital bond project, which will help the district to continue providing comfortable, state-of-the-art facilities where students can learn, grow, and excel."
The Capital Projects Bond proposition passed, with 1,996 voting yes and 1,017 voting no.
Three school board seats were up for election. Amanda Kandel (1,589 votes), Rosalind Gallino (1,585 votes), and Chadwick Olsen (1,492 votes) were elected to the board.
