TOWN OF SOMERS, NY — Police say a Hudson Valley man appears to have let his rage get the best of him.
New York State Police say that troopers responded to a Town of Somers home on May 26, after receiving a report of criminal mischief.
The homeowner told troopers that a former neighbor, 33-year-old Vincent G. D'Agnese, of South Salem, drove a vehicle onto the homeowner's front lawn and began performing donuts, causing significant damage to the grass.

After the incident, the homeowner tried to approach D'Agnese by following in his vehicle. When both vehicles stopped, D'Agnese got out of his car with a long, black object, and approached the homeowner while yelling, according to state police.
Later that evening, D'Agnese reportedly returned to the homeowner's property in an agitated state, and threatened the homeowner while holding a piece of metal.

On May 27, state police received a report about D'Agnese threatening a Somers business owner via LinkedIn. The victim told police they expressed fear as a result of the communication.
On May 28, a third person contacted state police to report receiving unsolicited and threatening messages from D'Agnese via Instagram. The victim said he had not been in contact with D'Agnese since 2009 when they were both in high school. Due to the nature of the messages, he also expressed fear for his safety.
After an investigation, the Somers Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested D'Agnese on May 29. He was charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, felony second-degree criminal mischief, misdemeanor second-degree menacing, three misdemeanor counts of second-degree aggravated harassment, and misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
D'Agnese was arraigned in the Town of Somers Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail, with bail set at $50,000 cash, $75,000 bond, or $125,000 partially secured bond.
NYSP say the investigation remains ongoing.
