Support Connection to Host Open House for Annual Cancer Walk
The Open House on Sept. 10 will offer "one-stop-shopping" to help people begin preparing for the 18th annual walk in Yorktown.

, the Yorktown non-profit organization, will be holding an Open House on Monday, Sept. 10 at its Triangle Center office. From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. staff and volunteers will help people register for the organization's 18th annual Support-A-Walk.
The Support-A-Walk was founded 18 years ago by local residents to bring attention to the needs of people affected by breast and ovarian cancer, and to raise money for Support Connection’s free support services for those living with these diseases.
People travel from across the Hudson Valley and beyond to take part in the community event. Participants of all ages complete a 3-mile walk, often in honor of loved ones who are affected by breast and ovarian cancer. Families, friends, co-workers and teams of walkers are invited to walk together. Individuals are also welcome to participate.
