Traffic Stop Yields Stolen Jacket, Oxycodone: PD
Police said the Brooklyn woman was initially pulled over for having a headlight that wasn't working and unlawfully tinted windows.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Brooklyn woman was accused of having stolen property and illegal drugs after being stopped in Yorktown for traffic violations.
The Yorktown Police Department said, shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, an officer said he saw a car with an inoperable head lamp, unlawfully tinted windows and an expired temporary New Jersey registration.
A traffic stop was conducted, and Dierdre L. Johnson, 49, of Brooklyn, was identified as the driver.

While speaking with her, the officer said he saw a brand-new Michael Kors jacket in plain view on the back seat with an anti-theft device attached to it.
The officer said the jacket was stolen and Johnson had it in her possession. The value of the jacket was $180.

Additionally, the Brooklyn resident was driving while her privilege to do so was suspended and while she was in possession of a quantity of oxycodone.
Jackson was arrested and taken to the Yorktown Police Department for processing.
She was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, misdemeanors, and six traffic infractions, including expired registration and unlawful tints on side windows.
After processing, Jackson was released on her own recognizance to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Sept. 15.
