Trees Downed, Roads Closed After Powerful Storm Cell Moves Through

YORKTOWN, NY — Yorktown police are warning about multiple trees down, power outages and road closures as a result of this morning's brief, but powerful severe weather.

Officials are warning the public to treat all wires that are down as live wires. Police have confirmed multiple reports of power outages.

Several roads have trees down, blocking traffic and bringing down power lines:

• Greenwood St.
• Ridge St./Granite Springs Rd.
• Granite Springs Rd./ Quinlan St. — Trees & Utility pole down
• Hanover St./ California Rd.
• Broad St.
• Route 132/Meadow Crest Rd.
• Sunrise St.
• Hunterbrook Rd./Baptist Church Rd.

Public safety officials are asking drivers to avoid all of these roads as crews are out attempting to clear roadways and restore power.
