Trespasser Walked Into Westchester Home, Punched Resident: Police

A 40-year-old Yorktown man was charged with felony burglary, and felony possession of a controlled substance, police said.

YORKTOWN, NY — A strange and violent incident in a Westchester neighborhood has led to a Yorktown man being arrested on felony charges, according to police.

The Yorktown Police Department says that officers responded to the Cornwall Circle area on Monday, around 1:18 p.m., after receiving a report of a man who had entered an occupied home.

Investigators say the suspect unlawfully entered the home through the front door, and then hit a resident with a closed fist.

Police also said he was unlawfully in possession of a controlled substance.

The Yorktown resident, 40-year-old Shaun Noone, was arrested and taken to Yorktown Police Department headquarters for arrest processing. He was charged with felony second-degree burglary, and felony fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

After processing, Noone was arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on May 22.
