Westchester Woman Accused Of Shoplifting From Macy's
Police said she left the store with more than $550 in merchandise without trying to pay for it.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Westchester County resident was accused of shoplifting from Macy's at the Jefferson Valley Mall Tuesday.
The Yorktown Police Department said Myra Argiros, 45, of Crompond, was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
Police said, shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday, an officer was sent to check out a theft report at Macy's.

Following an investigation, it was found Argiros picked merchandise off the shelves at the store and left without any attempt to pay for the items.
She was confronted by an asset protection employee, police said, who recovered the stolen items, which were valued at more than $550.

Argiros was arrested and taken to police headquarters where she was processed on the charge.
Afterward, she was issued an appearance ticket and released to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court April 21.
