What's Open, Closed On Labor Day in Yorktown, Somers

Labor Day is on Monday, Sept. 3 when many of you will have the day off from work.
Unofficially the last day of summer, the holiday, according to the U.S. Department of Labor, "constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country."

- Retail stores, grocery stores, restaurants are open, but may have limited hours. Call ahead before heading to a specific business to confirm they are open.
- Emergency services, such as police and fire, will be available.
Closed:

- Banks, post offices, and the stock market are closed on Monday.
