Winds, Hail, Tornadoes Possible In Hudson Valley Thursday
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the region.
HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The Hudson Valley could see some severe weather Thursday afternoon, in addition to the heat advisory.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Columbia, Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Ulster and Westchester counties.
The watch is in effect until 8 p.m. Thursday.

Meteorologists said there is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms Thursday, with damaging winds and large hail being the main threats.
Isolated tornadoes are also possible, officials said.

There could be localized flash flooding again, especially where downpours repeatedly move across the same areas.
