Worker Killed By Falling Tree Limb Has Been ID'd As Ossining Man

The 31-year-old, who was hired to remove a tree at a Somers home, was found unconscious and later died, according to state police.

SOMERS, NY — Authorities have identified the worker killed in a tragic accident in Westchester County.

During the removal of a tree, a member of a landscaping crew, identified as 31-year-old Jonathan Chavez Jaramillo, of Ossining, was struck by a falling tree limb.

The New York State Police say that troopers and members of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation responded to a Somers home on Monday, around 4:03 p.m., after receiving a report of an unresponsive man.
