YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown resident was arrested in Mamaroneck after being accused of punching someone in the face.

The Yorktown Police Department said Malik J. Lee, 24, of Yorktown, was charged Monday with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

Police said officers were sent around 9 a.m. Sunday to Hudson Valley Hospital to investigate a domestic disturbance that happened at a Yorktown home Saturday night.

It was determined, according to authorities, that Lee injured someone after punching the person in the face with a closed fist.

The victim was treated at Hudson Valley Hospital, police said.

Lee was arrested Monday at a Mamaroneck Avenue address in the village of Mamaroneck.

He was arraigned by a Yorktown town justice who issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.

Lee was released on his own recognizance and was instructed to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court May 10.
