Yorktown Man Accused Of Threatening Someone With A Knife

A judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was accused of threatening another person with a knife.

The Yorktown Police Department said Dennis DiFranco, 51, of Yorktown, was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.

According to police, shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday, officers received a report of a past domestic incident at a home in Yorktown.

An investigation was begun and found that on Sept. 20 DiFranco threatened the victim with a knife during an argument.

DiFranco was contacted by officers and voluntarily surrendered to Yorktown Police Headquarters, where he was placed under arrest.

He was processed on the charge and arraigned by a judge who issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.

DiFranco was released on his own recognizance to appear Dec. 5 in Yorktown Justice Court.
