Yorktown Man Breaks Into Sparkle Lake Building, Breaks Windows: PD
Two of the incidents go back to 2021 and 2022, according to authorities.

YORKTOWN, NY — A 24-year-old Yorktown man was accused of breaking into a Sparkle Lake building two different times in the past.
The Yorktown Police Department said Michael Igor Landolfi, 24, of Yorktown, was arrested and charged Nov. 16 with third-degree burglary and two counts of third-degree criminal mischief, felonies.
Authorities said, shortly after 8 a.m. Nov. 19, 2021, Yorktown police received a report of an unlawful entry and a damaged window at the service building at Sparkle Lake. A detective was assigned to investigate.

Around 12:15 p.m. Jan. 9, 2022, police received a report of a damaged window at the same location, and another detective was assigned to investigate.
Evidence collected from both crime scenes led police to the same as-yet-unidentifed person.

Then, around 1:30 a.m. April 16, there was a third report of damaged windows at the service building. Police determined the windows were broken by rocks thrown at them.
Landolfi was arrested May 6 for the third incident, police said.
Evidence gathered from the 2023 arrest linked him to the 2021 and 2022 incidents, and those investigations continued, police said.
Through his attorney, Landolfi surrendered to Yorktown police Nov. 16.
He was processed on the three charges and arraigned, after which he was released on his own recognizance.
Landolfi is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Dec. 14.
