YORKTOWN, NY — A 24-year-old Yorktown man was accused of damaging the side view mirror of a woman's car and pushing her to the ground.

The Yorktown Police Department said Vincent Mocerino IV, 24, of Yorktown, was charged Monday with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation.

Police said, around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute.

When police got to the location, they met with a woman outside a home.

She told them she had an argument with Mocerino, and it was found, police said, that he punched a side view mirror on her car, breaking it.

He also pushed her down several times, causing the woman to hit her head on the ground, police said.

Mocerino was contacted and advised to turn himself in to the Yorktown police, which he did around noon Monday.

After he was arraigned on the charges, a judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.

Mocerino was released on his own recognizance and is due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court Thursday.
