Yorktown Resident Accused Of Punching Man In The Face

Police said he faces a misdemeanor assault charge.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown man was accused of punching someone in the face.

The Yorktown Police Department said, around 7:10 p.m. Monday, officers were sent to check out a report of an assault at a Yorktown home.

An investigation found that Ricardo Carter, 43, of Yorktown, physically injured a man by punching him in the face with a closed fist.

Carter was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

After he was arraigned, a judge issued a temporary order of protection on behalf of the victim.

Carter was released on his own recognizance and was instructed to appear Sept. 15 in the Yorktown Justice Court.
