Yorktown Supervisor Candidates To Debate Thursday
Republican Deputy Supervisor Ed Lachterman will debate Democrat Jann Mirchandani.

YORKTOWN, NY — A debate between candidates for Yorktown supervisor will be held Thursday.
Deputy Supervisor Ed Lachterman, who is running for supervisor on the Republican Party line, will be debating Jann Mirchandani, who is running on the Democratic Party line.
Yorktown Republican Chairman Kevin Byrnes and Yorktown Democratic Co-Chairs Mark Lieberman and Marni Robin-Marron are co-sponsoring the event that will be held at Yorktown Stage, 1974 Commerce St. in Yorktown Heights.

The debate begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, and the candidates will take questions from the audience.
The special election for Yorktown supervisor is being held to fill the vacancy caused by the death in January of Supervisor Tom Diana.

Lachterman has worked in the hospitality industry for more than 40 years. He has served on the Town Board since 2016. He and his wife own two small businesses in Westchester. Lachterman also serves as a board member in the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Business Council of Westchester.
Mirchandani is a small business owner who has more than 35 years of executive board experience working with numerous nonprofits, including currently serving as council commissioner for the Greater Hudson Valley BSA and on the board of the Hudson Valley Gateway Chamber of Commerce.
The special election will be held Tuesday, April 16. Early voting will be between April 6 and April 14.
