Yorktown Woman Accused Of Pointing Gun At Worker

Police said the woman barricaded herself in her home after the incident.

YORKTOWN, NY — A Yorktown woman was arrested after being accused of pointing what appeared to be a gun at someone.

The Yorktown Police Department said Cynthia Marcello, 44, of Yorktown, was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, misdemeanors.

Police said, shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to a Yorktown Heights address for a dispute between a resident and workers on the property.

The investigation found Marcello pointed a BB gun at someone and threatened to shoot him.

When officers attempted to contact her, police said she barricaded herself inside her home.

With the assistance of the Westchester County Police Special Response Team, Marcello was arrested.

She was processed on the charges and released on her own recognizance.

Marcello is scheduled to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court May 5.
