• Stein announces hundreds of millions for infrastructure projects in WNC (carolinajournal.com) — Burnsville is set to receive more than $13 million to upgrade its drinking water system and repair key sewer lines damaged by Hurricane Helene, part of a major state investment in western North Carolina infrastructure. Additional state and federal programs are also opening applications to help local governments and small rental property owners in Yancey County and nearby areas rebuild stronger and add affordable housing.
