CORNELIUS, NC β€” Spring is officially here, which means it's time to do some cleaning. Lake Norman area residents will have an opportunity to shred up to four boxes of documents free at an upcoming shredding event in Cornelius on Saturday, April 10.

The event, which is sponsored by Aquesta Bank and Shred-It, is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. until noon at Cornelius Town Hall, located at 21445 Catawba Avenue in Cornelius.

Say organizers, "Due to heavy volume, Aquesta & Shred-it may end the event prior to 12:00 p.m. due to truck capacity, equipment failure, bad weather or any other unforeseen event. We ask that everyone remain in their cars when arriving to the event. Officers will be out assisting with directions."
