Run For Your Hero on Saturday

The Fayetteville YMCA invites all to participate in the Heroes Run on Saturday, April 20th at 7:30a.m.

Run one of the most beautiful courses in Southeastern NC and support Fayetteville area local youths. The 2013 YMCA Heroes Run will be a non-competitive non-chip, timed 5k and 10k fundraiser event. All proceeds from the run will go toward supporting the YMCA of the Sandhills youth programs ‘Girls on the Run’ and ‘STRIDE’.

The race will be kicking off the Dogwood Festival festivities, taking place on Saturday, April 20^th, with start times are 7:30a.m. for the 10k and 7:35a.m. for the 5k.

The start line will be at FTCC Lot 5, on Hull Road and wind through portions of the Dogwood Trail.

Registration is available either in person at any of the YMCA locations, as well as on-line at Active.com. The registration fee for the race is $20 up until the day of the race. They will have on-site registration the morning of the race from 6:00-7:15a.m., however, the fee will be $25.
