2. Lucky 7 on Raeford Road robbed by armed, masked individuals; Fayetteville police searching for suspects (cbs17.com) — Fayetteville police are asking for tips after two masked men robbed the Lucky 7 Food Mart on Raeford Road on Nov. 22, one pointing a handgun at an employee and demanding cash. Investigators released surveillance images and vehicle details, hoping residents recognize clothing or other clues and contact Detective Frashure or Fayetteville CrimeStoppers.
   

3. Fayetteville could get millions in disaster relief after FEMA ordered to restore funds (abc11.com) — Fayetteville stands to regain $15.4 million in FEMA disaster relief after a federal court ordered the agency to restore previously canceled funds, according to state officials. The money would widen four bridges and a channel along Russell Street to reduce flooding and protect nearby businesses, with construction possibly starting in 2028 if the ruling isn’t appealed.
   

4. We're looking for the hidden gems on Fayetteville's food and dining scene (fayobserver.com) — Food lovers in Fayetteville and across Cumberland County are being asked to nominate their favorite under-the-radar restaurants, bakeries, food trucks, and trailers that deserve more attention. The survey specifically seeks hidden gems rather than already popular spots and will remain open through Dec. 31, with results shared in early January.
   

5. Cathy Mae Bruno (cityviewnc.com) — Fayetteville is mourning longtime resident Cathy Mae Bruno, a 40-year community member, Army veteran, and retired Cumberland County Schools teacher and librarian who passed away in Texas on December 14 at age 75. Her family plans a viewing in North Texas and a later interment next year, and suggests memorial donations to the Wounded Warrior Project or Cumberland County School System.
