Founder Jelissa Thomas hopes to pair employment with mental health and reentry support, aiming to reduce crime and stigma while giving residents a real second chance at steady work.

Cumberland County Agrees to Hire Manna Dream Center, Salvation Army for Homeless Services (cityviewnc.com) — Cumberland County commissioners have chosen Fayetteville-based Manna Dream Center to run a new 100-bed Unhoused Support Center and are moving to re-hire the Salvation Army for year-round and cold-weather sheltering. Officials are crafting a grant-backed safety plan focused on education, enforcement, and youth driver programs, with community input expected as priorities are finalized.
