Small Business Jobs Bill Would Create 27k Jobs in NC

Senator Hagan spoke on the Senate floor on Thursday, July 12 urging passage of the Small Business Jobs and Tax Relief Act that would create 27,000 jobs in North Carolina and nearly one million jobs around the country.

"Incentives to add new jobs for small businessses by providing them with a 10% income tax credit on new payroll. It also encourages businesses to make new investments by extending them a 100% depreciation deduction on qualified property, thus providing real tax relief that lowers the cost of doing business should be a bi-partisan idea," said Hagan. "It is one that I will support."
