
Parents aren't too amazed, but their friends without kids sure are, as they watch a three-year-old pick up an iPhone or iPad and navigate to their favorite apps or games.
According to a survey by Common Sense Media, it showed that nearly 40% of children between ages 2 to 4 have used a smartphone or tablet. The numbers go up from there to 52% for kids between the ages of 5 and 8.

Here are some great apps for little ones. Monkey Preschool Lunchbox is great for little ones. It allows for interaction as your child helps monkeys pack their lunches by using counting, spelling and matching skills.
Another one designed for little minds around the age of 3 is called: Bloom. This musically inspired app was designed by ambient musician and composer Brian Eno. The child can tap the different colored bubbles and save their recordings.

Race car fans around the age of 4 will enjoy the free app Drag Racing as they drive more than 50 cars around courses against other gamers to unlock prizes.
Another fun free app for younger future shutterbugs? CamWow. The app allows you to stretch, fatten and make silly faces out of your parents or siblings that they photograph on your smartphone camera.
Kids of all ages - and I do mean big kids, like dad, love honing their inner Sensei skills in the popular app Fruit Ninja.
