Video Footage: Ed's Tire Robbery Bandits on the Lam
Authorities need the public's assistance in identifying the two men.

A copy of the video surveillance of Ed’s Tire from July 2, 2013 has been posted to view here by local authorities . Look closely at the vehicle that can be observed at the top of the screen during the beginning of the video. This dark in color vehicle can be observed turning onto the street next to Ed’s Tire and seconds later, the unidentified black male runs to the aid of the white male suspect to assist in the robbery.

Common Law Robbery
On Tuesday, July, 2, 2013 at approximately 7:41 pm, officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to Ed’s Tire located at 2902 Raeford Road in reference to a robbery. The investigation revealed that an employee was closing out sales for the day and had walked to his vehicle in the parking lot. Once the employee was in his vehicle, he observed a white male walking across the parking lot of the business. The subject approached the victim and began asking for directions, when suddenly the white male reached into the vehicle and attempted to grab the deposit bag from the employee’s possession. The victim attempted to fend off the suspect, but a black male came from the side of the building to the aid of the original suspect. The suspects then physically assaulted the employee until they were able to obtain possession of the deposit bag. The suspects then fled from the area on foot. The employee was not seriously injured during the robbery.
The suspects were described as:
• White Male
• 6’00 in height
• Red/White/Blue baseball hat
• Blue Jeans
• Black and White striped shirt
• Black Male
• 5’8’’ in height
• Short dreadlocks
• Clothed in all black
