Evening Laser Shows Return

Music lovers, rejoice! Our popular evening laser shows are back. On one Friday evening each month from January through October, we’ll be featuring an incredible laser light display set to some of your favorite tunes in our OmniSphere Theater. The shows kick off on January 28 with Metallica. Tickets are $7 per person and are available online at https://shop.greensboroscience.org/#/SpecialEvents.

Community Service Remains Key

At the GSC, we love to give back. This year, we’re looking forward to a continued partnership with the American Red Cross hosting blood drives in our community. Our internal Conservation Committee is ready to continue our stream clean-up initiative, starting with our very own Salamander Stream, and our Scholarship Committee is excited to award non-profit organizations financial assistance through our Group Visit Scholarship Assistance Program.

Gateways Galore!

Your vote this spring can help us bring our next 10-year plan to fruition. The Gateway Project will transform several areas of the GSC and bring new and exciting experiences – and animals – to Greensboro. Naked mole rats, anyone?

Babies, Maybe?

Jolly Holidays

Although it just ended, we can’t wait for Winter Wonderlights to return for the third year in a row. It appears many of you share our affinity for holiday cheer, considering more than 85,000 tickets were sold! Folks traveled from 83 NC counties and 43 states to see our spectacular holiday lights. We can’t wait to see you again in November.

Beautiful Butterflies

At long last, the Cole Family Butterfly House and Monarch Conservation Project is scheduled to open in late Spring.

A-Maze-Ing

In honor of the aforementioned beautiful butterflies, our kid-approved maze is returning with a sweet new theme. Explore the lifecycle of arguably the most beautiful bugs around and enjoy hands-on activities.

It Totally Rocks

If you’ve been missing our minerals, you’re not alone. Our Collections and Exhibits teams are working together to bring some of our gorgeous gems back above ground and into the light  once again. The windows in our museum’s upstairs main hallway will be getting a little sparkle this winter!
