• Greensboro police file additional charges against man accused of assaulting woman (abc45.com) — Greensboro police have filed additional charges against a local man following a reported domestic disturbance on Kirkman Street, where officers say shots were fired at a woman. The woman suffered minor injuries, and the suspect surrendered at the scene. Charges now include serious assault offenses, firearm violations within city limits, and domestic-violence-related counts as the investigation continues. 
• Greensboro nonprofit hosts free basketball league for teenagers and young adults (wxii12.com) — A Greensboro nonprofit is launching a free “L.O.V.E. League” basketball program for teens and young adults 16 and up, with games on Mondays and Wednesdays at Barber Park. Organizers with Gate City Coalition and One Step Further hope the league will offer a safe, positive space while helping interrupt cycles of violence and connect at-risk youth with life-building resources.
